Daisuke Sakai ( Japanese 酒井 大 輔 , Sakai Daisuke ; born February 27, 1987 in Nagano , Nagano Prefecture ) is a Japanese ice hockey goalkeeper who has been under contract with the Tohoku Free Blades in the Asia League Ice Hockey since 2009 and as a loan player for who plays China Dragon .

Career

Daisuke Sakai began his career as an ice hockey player in the team of Tōyō University . He then signed a contract for the 2009/10 season with the Tohoku Free Blades , which began playing in the Asia League Ice Hockey in the 2009/10 season . In his rookie year in professional ice hockey , the goalkeeper stood between the posts as a substitute for Michio Hashimoto in six games. He had a catch quota of 88.4 percent and an average goal conceded of 4.82. In the 2010/11 season, which ended prematurely due to the Tōhoku earthquake , he and his team won the championship title of the Asia League Ice Hockey for the first time. In eight games, he was able to increase to a catch rate of 92 percent and an average goal conceded of 2.26 per game.
