Dalibor Doder (born May 24, 1979 in Malmö ) is a Swedish handball player . The son of Serbian parents is 1.79 m tall.
Doder, who plays for the Swedish club Ystads IF HF and played for the Swedish national team, is mainly used as a middle back player.
Career
Dalibor Doder started in his hometown near Malmö HP. In 1995 he came to the youth department of the neighboring first division club LUGI HF , for which he made his debut in the Swedish first division in 1998 . In 2003 he moved to the neighboring IFK Ystad HK . But since he never belonged to the top group of the league with either Lund or Ystad, he took the opportunity in early 2005 to move to Spain to the local second division SD Teucro Ence. After half a year Doder moved to the league ASOBAL , BM Aragón. With the men from Saragossa , he immediately qualified for the EHF Cup and in the following season went straight to the final of this competition, where his team was defeated by SC Magdeburg . In 2009 he moved to league rival Ademar León . For the 2010/11 season, Doder moved to Bundesliga relegated GWD Minden . In 2012 he celebrated promotion back to the Bundesliga with Minden. After Doder played with Minden in the 2nd Bundesliga in the 2015/16 season, he then returned to the Bundesliga. In the summer of 2019, Doder moved to the Swedish first division club Ystads IF HF .
Dalibor Doder has played 146 international matches for the Swedish national team . After Sweden failed to qualify for the 2007 World Cup in Germany, he finished seventh with the national team at the 2009 World Cup . At the 2011 World Cup in his home country, he finished fourth with the Swedish team and was chosen as the best backcourt middle player in the All-Star team. In summer 2012 he won the silver medal with Sweden at the Olympic Games in London .
