Damián Álvarez Arcos (born March 11, 1973 in Veracruz , Veracruz ) is a retired Mexican football player on the position of a striker .

Life

Álvarez began his professional career at Club Atlas , his longest station with four years of membership. He then moved to Club León , where he matured to become a national player and was a total of six times for the Mexican national soccer team in 1996 and 1997 and scored two goals. In the next few years he played for the two major arch-rivals of Mexican football , Chivas and America , as well as for two teams in Major League Soccer , Dallas Burn and New England Revolution, and then several other teams in the Mexican first and second leagues . Álvarez ended his active career at Apertura 2003 in the ranks of the Trotamundos Tijuana, which existed only for a short time .
