Trotamundos Tijuana
Trotamundos Tijuana is a former Mexican soccer club based in Tijuana , Baja California .
history
Trotamundos Tijuana was founded in the summer of 2003 with the acquisition of the second division license from the Cuernavaca Colibríes . Under the direction of coach Carlos Turrubiates , the team started in the 2003 Apertura of the second-rate Primera División 'A' .
The most successful goalscorer of the club, which was only located in Tijuana for half a season , was Diego Torres , who scored a total of six goals in the 2003 Apertura matches; including all three goals for the highest away win in the short history of the Trotamundos, which was scored 3-0 against the Jaguares de Tapachula on September 21, 2003 .
Other well-known players from Trotamundos Tijuana were Gabriel García and the 41-time Mexican international Missael Espinoza .
The biggest win was a 5: 1 against the Guerreros de Tlaxcala on October 29, 2003, the biggest defeats had to be accepted in November 2003 in the away games at Atlético Mexiquense (0: 5) and UAT Correcaminos (1: 7).
Trotamundos Salamanca
After baseball was returned to its home ground in 2004 , the franchise called Trotamundos ( Spanish for globetrotters ) moved to Salamanca , where it started in the Clausura 2004 under the new name Trotamundos Salamanca .
At the end of the 2003/04 season, the team had to go to relegation , where they were defeated by Lobos de la BUAP and relegated to the third-class Segunda División . The ten goals that the Mexican striker Domingo Ramírez had scored in the Clausura 2004 for the Trotamundos couldn't change that.
