Damian Lynn (born June 30, 1991 ; actually: Damian Lingg ) is a Swiss pop musician ( singer-songwriter ).

biography

Damian Lynn comes from Kriens- Obernau. After completing his bachelor's degree, he interrupted his training as a secondary school teacher in favor of his musical career. Founded with the end of 2008 band Sway89 won Lynn (then as Damian Lingg) 2009 the central Swiss talent contest for young bands spring . The band brought out the singles Keep On Rocking , The End of the World and From Hero to Zero on Foolrecords in 2011 with him as front singer . The band existed until 2013 and then re- founded as Nordwest . Lynn left the band in autumn 2012, started a solo career and released his debut album Count to Ten in 2015. In 2016 he won a Swiss Music Award in the “Best Talent” category.

His second CD, Truth Be Told , was released in March 2017 , on which he played all the instruments himself except for the bass. According to a review by the Aargauer Zeitung , Lynn is “more mature and musically multifaceted” on this CD. His song When We Do It ran over 1300 times on all Swiss radio stations in March 2017, making it one of the most played songs of all and by far the most played song by a Swiss artist.

From November 4 to November 7, 2019, Lynn played in the opening act for the German singer-songwriter Madeline Juno . During their Was geht tour he played four concerts in Freiburg im Breisgau , Munich , Cologne and Stuttgart . He presented the titles Clock and Winter , among others .

Lynn's friend Nadja Purtschert is a former professional snowboarder and Olympic participant.
