Damla Hekimoğlu (born May 18 in Stolberg ) is a news editor, live reporter, television presenter and investigative journalist . She works for the Westdeutscher Rundfunk Köln in the WDR newsroom for the current hour and for the research network WDR, NDR and Süddeutsche Zeitung . She also moderates live broadcasts at Phoenix .

Life

Damla Hekimoğlu grew up in the Eifel . She obtained a Master of Arts from Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf and spent a summer semester at Harvard University in the USA.

On the board of the Harvard Club Rhein-Main, she volunteers for education and the promotion of young talent. After completing the internship, Hekimoğlu was taken on by WDR as a live reporter and editor. She works in the newsroom of WDR in the topicality and moderates at Phoenix.

Her parents come from Turkey, the father is a dentist. Her brother is the computer game developer Onat Hekimoğlu .

Damla Hekimoğlu grew up bilingually speaking German and Turkish. She is fluent in English, as well as French and Spanish.
