Dampflokrunde is the name of an approximately 80 kilometer long cycle path, about half of which runs along the embankments of the Kaufbeuren – Schongau and Marktoberdorf – Lechbruck railway lines, which were closed and dismantled in the 1970s .

Route

The route, which is signposted with a steam locomotive sign, is a circular route and runs through these places (sections that run on the former embankment are shown in italics): Kaufbeuren - Mauerstetten - Stöttwang-Linden - Osterzell - Bidingen - Ingenried - Burggen - Bernbeuren - Lechbruck - Roßhaupten - Stötten am Auerberg - Marktoberdorf - Biessenhofen - Kaufbeuren.

At Roßhaupten you have a connection to the 32 km long Forggensee cycle path .
