Ingenried is a municipality in the Weilheim-Schongau district in Upper Bavaria . The place of the same name is both the capital and the seat of the municipal administration.
geography
Ingenried is located in the Oberland region on the western edge of the Pfaffenwinkel at an altitude of around 800 m.
The municipality has five officially named municipal parts (the type of settlement is given in brackets ):
- Ingenried ( parish village )
- Erbenschwang ( Kirchdorf )
- Huttenried ( village )
- Krottenhill (village)
- Hofmahdmühle ( hamlet )
The five places also form the five districts that exist in the municipality.
history
Until the church is planted
The Welfs donated their property in Ingenried in 1147 to the newly founded Steingaden Monastery , to which the Augsburg Bishop Konrad von Hirscheck also left the church in 1156.
The former place of jurisdiction of the Steingaden Monastery was exchanged in 1785 with the high jurisdiction of the Hochstift Augsburg . It thus belonged to the bishopric of Augsburg or St. Mang Füssen . Since the Reichsdeputationshauptschluss of 1803 the place belongs to Bavaria . In the course of the administrative reforms in Bavaria , today's municipality was created with the municipal edict of 1818 .
Administrative affiliation
In the course of the regional reform in Bavaria Ingenried was assigned to the administrative district of Upper Bavaria on July 1, 1972 . Until then it belonged to the district of Marktoberdorf in the administrative district of Swabia .

Ingenried is a member community of the intercommunal association Auerbergland, which crosses the borders of the administrative districts of Swabia and Upper Bavaria .

The Catholic parish church of St. Georg in Ingenried is an important cultural monument .
