Sindelsdorf is a municipality in the Upper Bavarian district of Weilheim-Schongau and a member of the Habach administrative community .
geography
Sindelsdorf is located in the Oberland region . The Fichtsee nature reserve in Sindelsbachfilz is located southeast of the village .
The municipality has five officially named municipal parts (the type of settlement is given in brackets ):
- Berghof ( wasteland )
- Mühleck ( hamlet )
- Riedern ( village )
- Sindelsdorf ( parish village )
- Urthal (hamlet)
There is only the district of Sindelsdorf.
history
Until the church is planted
The place is mentioned for the first time in a document on the occasion of the foundation of the Scharnitz monastery in 763.
Sindelsdorf in today's Upper Bavaria belonged to the Benediktbeuern monastery under the sovereignty of the Electorate of Bavaria .
With the community edict of 1818 , the community of Sindelsdorf was created, which belonged to the district court of Weilheim .
20th century
Sindelsdorf was like Murnau a center of the editorial team of the Blue Rider . Franz Marc , Jean-Bloé Niestlé and Heinrich Campendonk lived here from 1909 to 1914 . No less well-known artists such as Wassily Kandinsky , August and Helmuth Macke , Gabriele Münter and Alexej von Jawlensky came to visit for work talks. Many famous paintings such as The Tower of the Blue Horses by Marc were created in Sindelsdorf.

politics
Mayor has been Andreas Obermaier from the CSU / Open Citizens List since May 2020. From May 1990 his predecessor was Josef Buchner from the Independent Voting Group (UWS).

Economy including agriculture and forestry
In 1998 there were 352 employees subject to social security contributions at the place of residence. There were none in the manufacturing industry and two in the construction industry. In addition, in 1999 there were 38 farms with an agriculturally used area of 823 ha. Of this, 47 ha were arable land and 776 ha were permanent green areas.

There are no schools in the community. There is a day-care center with 62 approved places in which a total of 49 children were cared for in 2018.
