Dan Beutler (born October 7, 1977 in Hallstahammar ) is a Swedish handball goalkeeper . The full-time handball player is 193 cm tall and weighs 94 kg.
Career
Beutler began his career in his birthplace, at Hallstahammar SK. There he played until 1995, until he switched to Irsta HF from 1995 to 1999 . From 1999 to 2002 he played at IFK Ystad HK , then he moved to Redbergslids IK . In 2003 he moved to SG Flensburg-Handewitt . He prematurely terminated his contract, which ran until June 30, 2012, in December 2010 and has been guarding the HSV Hamburg gate since summer 2011 . In April 2013, Beutler switched to al-Jaish in Qatar with immediate effect . From the summer of 2013 he played for the Swedish first division club IFK Kristianstad . In November 2014 he was signed for the Asian Club League championships by the Iranian club Samen Al-Hojaj. After he was subsequently without a contract, he joined the Bundesliga club TBV Lemgo in January 2015 . From the 2015/16 season he played for the Swedish first division club HK Malmö . In the summer of 2019, a club change to the Danish first division club GOG Håndbold was planned, but since Beutler tested positive for cocaine , the change failed . After a doping ban, he rejoined HK Malmö in February 2020.
He has played 71 games for the Swedish national team , including the 2010 European Championships .
