Dan Glans

Dan Glans ( Dan Christer Glans; born May 2, 1947 in Tyringe ) is a former Swedish obstacle and long-distance runner .

In 1974 he retired from the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Gothenburg over 3000 m in the preliminary run and was ninth over 3000 m obstacle at the European Athletics Championships in Rome . In 1975 he was eighth over 3000 m at the European Indoor Championships in Katowice .

The following year he failed at the Indoor European Championships in 1976 in Munich over 3000 m in the first round. At the Olympic Games in Montreal, he was seventh over 3000 m obstacle .

In 1977 he came in 38th place at the World Cross Country Championships in Düsseldorf and did not finish at the World Cup in Athletics in Düsseldorf over 3000 m obstacle. In 1978 he was fourth over 3000 m at the European Indoor Championships in Milan . At the Cross Country World Championships in Glasgow he did not reach the finish, and at the European Championships in Prague he was eliminated over 3000 m obstacle in the prelim.

With further participation in the Cross Country World Championships he did not reach the goal in Gateshead in 1983 and came in 1984 in East Rutherford on the 161st place.

Five times he was Swedish champion over 3000 m obstacle (1973, 1974, 1976, 1977, 1979) and in cross-country running on the long distance (1975-1979), three times over 5000 m (1974-1976), twice in 25 km road run (1977, 1979), and once each over 10,000 m (1976) and in cross-country running on the short distance (1984). In 1984 he was Swedish indoor champion over 3000 m.
