Career

Dan Weisskopf began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth division of EHC Biel , where he ran through all junior teams. For his professional team he made his debut in the National League B in the 2007/08 season , where he received two penalty minutes in a total of 26 games and remained pointless. At the same time, he took part in the third-class first division for the EHC Zuchwil Regio , for which he scored six points in 31 games. The defender immediately won the second division with Biel and was promoted to the National League A with the team . Nevertheless, he left the club in the summer of 2008 and joined Lausanne HC , with which he was also NLB champion in the 2008/09 season . In the subsequent relegation games, Weisskopf and his new team lost to his former club from Biel. In the 2009/10 season , in addition to Lausanne, he also played for the Young Sprinters Neuchâtel and the GCK Lions in the NLB and Tramelan in the first division. From the 2010/11 season , Weisskopf played for EHC Basel in the NLB.

The SC Bern signed him in 2013, but allowed him to continue the EHC Basel play because he was there more match practice. At the beginning of February 2014 he switched to the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers as part of a swap deal , in return Franco Collenberg switched to SC Bern.

After the Lakers lost to League qualifier against SCL Tigers in the NLB had to dismount, the native of Biel switched sides and joined the Emmental, where he signed a two-year contract in May, 2015. After the end of his contract, he initially trained with EHC Biel  (NLA) on a trial basis .
