Dana Penno

Dana Penno (born May 3, 1985 in Hamburg ) is a former German basketball player .

career

Penno played in the youth of SC Rist Wedel and was appointed to the youth national team. In 2002 she was accepted into the Wedels Bundesliga team. She also played in the European Cup with Wedel.

In 2004, the 1.73 meter tall player took part in the U20 European Championship and was the second best German scorer during the tournament with 12.9 points per game. In the 2004/05 season she played and studied at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). In the summer of 2005, Penno played for Germany at the Universiade in Izmir, Turkey . From the 2005/06 season she played for USC Freiburg in the Bundesliga. In 2006 she was in the German A-team, but did not play an international match for the women's national team.

She initially stayed in Freiburg until 2008, then spent the 2008/09 season in Leeds ( England ) due to her studies and played for Freiburg again in 2009/10.

In the 2010/11 season, Penno was on the field for second division TuS Jena , then in 2012/13 for regional division BC Erfurt and then temporarily for Rist Wedel in the regional division.
