Danesha LaVonne Adams (born June 6, 1986 in Bellflower , California ) is a former American soccer player and current coach.

Career

society

She played in the W-League for the Cleveland Internationals and Pali Blues in 2007 and 2008 , where she scored as many goals in 16 games. Afterwards, Adams joined the WPS - Franchise Chicago Red Stars and from there to the league rivals Philadelphia Independence . In 2011 she joined the Norwegian association Medkila IL and a year later moved to Vittsjö GIK in Sweden. In early 2013, Adams was hired as a so-called free agent by Sky Blue FC . She made her league debut on April 14, 2013 against Western New York Flash , on May 11, 2013 she scored her first goal in the NWSL against Seattle Reign FC . In November 2013, her move on loan to Turkish first division club Ataşehir Belediyespor became known. After her return to the USA at the end of 2013, Adams was selected by the newly founded NWSL participant Houston Dash during the Expansion Draft 2014 , but only switched to league rival Washington Spirit a few days later in exchange for Stephanie Ochs . In September 2014, she was released from Washington, but immediately committed by Portland Thorns FC . Adams left this before the start of the 2015 season and switched to Medkila IL.

National team

Adams played for the US U-20 and U-23 national teams and took part in the 2006 U-20 World Cup. There she was the most successful goalscorer of her team with three goals. In the same year she completed her only international match for the senior national team of the USA against Taiwan .
