Ataşehir Belediye Spor Kulübü , Ataşehir Belediyespor for short , is a Turkish football club from the Istanbul district of Ataşehir . It was founded in 2007 and is best known for its women's football department , which has been playing in the Bayanlar Futbol Ligi , the top division in Turkish women's football, since the 2009/10 season .

history

The club was founded in 2007 as a university team under the name Ümraniye Mevlana Lisesi SK and, after financial difficulties and a change of ownership, took on its current name in 2009. In the same year, the women's team achieved promotion to the Bayanlar Futbol Ligi for the first time with the championship in the second Turkish league.

After a fourth place in the 2009/10 season, the club was able to win the Turkish championship in the 2010/11 and 2011/12 seasons and thus competed in the qualification for the UEFA Women's Champions League in 2011 and 2012 , where you yourself however, could not qualify for the first main round.
