Danièle Nyst

Danièle Nyst ( 1942 in Liège - April 3, 1998 ) was a Belgian video artist .

life and work

Danièle Nyst studied at the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando in Madrid. She worked for RTBF , radio and television for the French community of Belgium. From 1983 to 1996 Danièle Nyst realized video art together with her husband Jacques Louis Nyst (1942–1996) .

The Nysts (in the roles of Professor Codca and Thérèsa Plane) engage in sophisticated, often funny, intellectual discourses in the videos . They lived and worked in Sprimont in the province of Liège .
