Sprimont is an important historical center of Belgian stone processing . There is a marble museum in the village that shows the history of Belgian stone processing and the most important types. Here is a dark Crinoidenkalkstein the Carboniferous ( Tournaisium ) mined, who at that group with the trade name of Belgian granite counts.
