The municipality is located on the Meuse, about 17 km southwest of Liège ; It is 46 km to Maastricht , 55 km to Namur , 60 km to Aachen , 98 km to Brussels and 130 km to Antwerp .

- Aigremont Castle ; Renaissance castle rebuilt at the beginning of the 18th century
- Fort of Flémalle ; from 1888 to 1891 , the fortress was situated high above the Meuse and is open to the public on the first Saturday of each month
- Hautepenne Castle ; Privately owned palace complex that dates back to a 14th century castle.
- Petite Flémal Castle ; The castle was built in the 17th and 18th centuries and now serves as the town hall. A publicly accessible park belongs to it .
