Comblain-au-Pont is a municipality in the Belgian province of Liege . It consists of the villages of Comblain-au-Pont and Poulseur .

At Comblain-au-Pont the Amel joins the Ourthe .

Attractions

  • The Musées du Pays Ourthe-Amblève is the city's cultural center and hosts changing exhibitions. Concerts and events also take place here. The museum informs visitors about the history and culture of the Ourthe-Amel region. The museum library has old maps, photographs and manuscripts from the region.
  • The Grotte de l'Abîme has 20 halls, a deep abyss, an underground quarry and a bunker that has been converted into a bat center.
  • Tour Saint-Martin is the reconstructed defense tower of a fortress above the city, on which the cemetery is now located. It offers a view of the city.
  • Behind the Musées du Pays Ourthe-Amblève is a donjon , which comes from the Montuy family, first mentioned in the 12th century.
  • The residential tower Tour Reinarstein from the 13th century, built by Eustache II. De Many, stands in the Poulseur district . In 2010 the tower was converted into a residential building, it cannot be visited.
