Robert "Bobby" Grim (born September 4, 1924 in Coal City , Indiana , † June 14, 1995 in Indianapolis , Indiana) was an American racing driver .

Career

Bobby Grim started twice in his career at the Indianapolis 500 , which was classified as the Formula 1 world championship race from 1950 to 1960 . When he first started in 1959, he retired on a Kurtis Kraft 500G Offenhauser on lap 85 with a piston damaged . In 1960, again in Indianapolis, this time on a Meskowski -Offenhauser, he reached 16th place, six laps behind the winner, Jim Rathmann .
