Lierneux is a municipality in the Belgian province of Liege in Wallonia. It consists of the localities of Arbrefontaine , Bra and Lierneux .

The municipality is located about 45 kilometers southeast of Liège (as the crow flies) and about 20 kilometers northwest of the border with Luxembourg in the Ardennes .

Lierneux is located on the long-distance hiking trail GR 578. A modest amount of winter sports is also possible: two slopes of 600 and 800 m in length with a drag lift and cross-country ski trails of 15 km in length as well as paved hiking trails of 30 km in length are available.
