Daniel Benetka

Daniel Benetka (born November 17, 1974 in Zwickau ) is a former German American football player and amateur actor. He played seven years for the Frankfurt Galaxy in the NFL Europe and won the World Bowl twice with them . He achieved greater fame in Germany through his role as "Kalle" in the RTL II series Berlin - Day & Night .

life and career

Daniel Benetka was born in Zwickau in 1974 and attended a grammar school there with a language profile (English, Russian, Latin, ancient Greek). In 1993 he graduated from high school there and then moved to Leipzig to study there. From 1983 to 1992 he worked successfully in judo for ten years . From 1992 to 1997 he devoted himself to discus throwing and was a multiple national champion in discus throwing and shot put and a member of the junior national team. 1997 to 2000 he then received a scholarship for athletics at the University of Idaho . Due to his sporting activity as a football player in the college team of the University of Idaho, this performance area was converted into the performance area football and Daniel made it to the National Football League (NFL) after only one year , where he made the jump to the squad failed for the season. For five years in a row he was in the training camp of an NFL team, but never made it into the squad for the regular season .

From 2001 to 2007 he was active as a player in NFL Europe for the Frankfurt Galaxy . There he played four times in the World Bowl and was able to win it twice with his team (2003 and 2006).

In September 2013 Daniel Benetka became known as the bad boy "Karl-Heinz 'Kalle' Reinert" and Lutz Schweigel's best friend "Joe Möller" in the reality soap opera Berlin - Day & Night . He played this role in 147 episodes until he left in June 2014.

In the same year Daniel Benetka devoted himself to his great passion, music and produced electronic music. In collaboration with The Galaxy Kingz, Daniel Benetka released his first single The Big Man on Destruktor .
