Daniel Bräg

Daniel Bräg (* 1964 in Pfullendorf ) is a German artist and university professor .

Life

From 1984 until his diploma in 1992 Bräg studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich , where he was, among other things, master class of Olaf Metzel . In 1989/90 he meanwhile studied at the State University of Fine Arts - Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main , especially with Ulrich Rückriem . After completing his studies, he was able to devote himself to his work through grants from the Free State of Bavaria and the Baden-Württemberg Art Foundation . Bräg spent 1994 and 1995 in Japan on a DAAD scholarship . He also received scholarships for Italy , the United States and Lithuania . Since 1998 he has been a member of the German Association of Artists .

From 2004 to 2009, Bräg returned to the Academy of Fine Arts Munich as curator of the academy gallery , before becoming a member of the Commission for Art in Architecture and Art in Public Spaces Quivid in Munich in 2009 . In 2012, Bräg was appointed to the Theodore Randall International Chair at Alfred University at the State University of New York .
