Daniel Bragg (born August 3, 1992 in Sydney ) is an Australian football player .

Career

Bragg was born in Sydney in 1992 to a Chilean mother and an Australian father . He played in the youth division of the Blacktown City Demons and was one of the outstanding talents of his class. In 2007, Bragg showed signs of lethargy, loss of appetite and swelling, which in March 2008 were attributed to acute kidney failure . After several unsuccessful therapies with drugs and dialysis , which also had physically fatal effects, his footballing career seemed over. Only a kidney transplant - his father was the donor - made it possible for Bragg to continue his career.

After Bragg as a student of Westfields Sports High School as a volunteer at a coach training course Miron Bleiberg , coach of the professional team of Gold Coast United had noticed, he joined in 2010 for the youth team of Gold Coast United in the National Youth League in Appearance and came to nine missions when winning the 2010/11 junior championship. Bragg made his professional debut in the A-League under Bleiberg on February 12, 2012, when he was on the starting line-up after a 2-1 defeat in the home game against Adelaide United . In the following weeks, when the club owner's license was revoked and the team ended the season under the responsibility of the Australian Football Association, he came to two more appearances as a substitute. After the end of the season, the team was dissolved and Bragg rejoined Blacktown City for the 2012 season, for which he played in the NSW Premier League . In September 2012 he joined the youth team of the Central Coast Mariners and also played for the farm team Central Coast Mariners Academy in the National Premier Leagues NSW . Bragg's main job is as a barista in Western Sydney .
