Daniel Elsner (born January 4, 1979 in Memmingerberg ) is a former German tennis player .
Career
Elsner celebrated his greatest successes with the juniors, at that time he was considered a potential successor to Boris Becker . He won the US Junior Open in 1996 and was in the junior finals of three other Grand Slam tournaments the following year. He could also decide the Australian Open and the French Open in his favor, in the Wimbledon final he was defeated by Wesley Whitehouse .
In his professional career, which began in 1997, he could no longer build on these successes. On October 23, 2000, it reached 92nd place in the world rankings as the best placement.
