Daniel Embers (born April 14, 1981 in Duisburg ) is a former German soccer player who was active in the defense.

Career

In his youth, Daniel Embers was with three different Duisburg clubs before he finally moved to Borussia Mönchengladbach's B-youth . There he played his way up to the professional team, where he made nine appearances in the Bundesliga in his first year, the 2002/03 season . In the following season he was only registered for the second team in the league, which is why he moved to the regional division TuS Koblenz in 2004 . After only six months without missions, he went to Wuppertaler SV Borussia during the winter break . After a decent first season, he was only substituted there once in the 2005/06 season. He then moved one class down to Rot-Weiß Oberhausen , where he finally made the breakthrough. In the first year the Oberhausenern was promoted to the Regionalliga Nord and in 2007/08 even made it through to the 2nd Bundesliga , with Embers playing 34 of the 38 season games. After three years with RWO in the second division, in which the defender played 65 games, relegation followed in 2011. Daniel Embers did not receive a new contract and then moved to the upper division VfB Homberg , for whom he was active until 2013. In the 2013/14 season Embers ran again for the U23 of Rot-Weiß Oberhausen, before he became assistant coach of the U23 in the summer of 2014.
