Cam Ranh International Airport ( IATA : CXR, ICAO : VVCR) is located at Cam Ranh Bay in South Vietnam and is the airport of the coastal city of Nha Trang, 25 km to the north .
history
The airport was built and operated by the US Army during the Vietnam War. Since Nha Trang City Airport was too small, Cam Ranh Airport was expanded for civil aviation and opened in 2004. A new station building was erected next to the 3,048 m long concrete runway.
