Daniel Francis Feehan

Daniel Francis Feehan (born September 24, 1855 in Athol , Massachusetts , USA , † July 19, 1934 ) was a Roman Catholic clergyman and bishop of Fall River .

Life

Daniel Francis Feehan received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Springfield on December 29, 1879 . Before his appointment as bishop, he was most recently pastor of St. Bernard’s in Fitchburg .

On July 3, 1907 appointed him Pope Pius X to the Bishop of Fall River . The Bishop of Springfield, Thomas Daniel Beaven , ordained him episcopal on September 19 of that year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Providence , Matthew Harkins , and the Bishop of Hartford , Michael Tierney .

During his tenure, he founded 36 parishes and a welfare office. He paid special attention to the diocesan childcare facilities.
