Daniel Hofer (born February 12, 1983 in Bolzano ) is a former Italian triathlete and triathlon state champion on the sprint distance (2016).

Career

The police officer Daniel Hofer belongs to the Carabinieri sports center and competes for the Athletic Club Terni .

In July 2011, Daniel Hofer came third at the World Triathlon Championship.
In 2012 he became Duathlon World Champion with the Italian mixed team, after finishing fifth here the previous year.

In 2013 he was third at the state championship on the short triathlon and state champion on the sprint distance.

In October 2016 he was national champion on the sprint distance for the second time. After starting the Kalterer See Triathlon in May 2017, he announced that he would end his professional career.
