Daniel Kogler (born August 16, 1988 in Amstetten ) is an Austrian football player . He is currently under contract with Sportunion Mauer.

Club career

Kogler started his career at the age of 7 in the youth of his home club SVU Mauer. After his talent crystallized at Mauer, he switched to the youth performance center (later the academy) in St. Pölten in 2002.

After he was then only used in the youth league and he was denied an appearance in the Regionalliga Ost , he accepted an offer from SV Bad Aussee , which had previously been promoted to the first division , in the summer of 2007 .

In Bad Aussee he soon fought for a regular place and, alongside Adam Cichon , advanced to one of the bright spots in a team that was sometimes inferior. At the end of the season Bad Aussee sang and soundlessly descended from the first division, 21 points behind the saving 9th place in the table. Kogler completed 24 league games in which he scored 4 goals.

After relegation, he moved through the mediation of his friend Denis Rizvanović to Bosnia and Herzegovina to FK Velež Mostar . There he came to two season appearances without scoring before he left the club again in the winter for personal reasons.

He then completed a trial training session in Hungary at Zalaegerszegi TE FC . There he was able to match, but due to the fact that Zalaergeszeg was still fighting for the championship title in the spring, he was passed on to the BFC Siófok, who played against relegation, for observation . Instead of Kogler, the much more experienced Slovak Marian Sluka was subsequently committed.

Meanwhile, Kogler signed with Siófok for half a year, where he was able to get a regular place again in a short time. Siófok played big with Kogler for a short time and worked his way up from last to just before the saving 14th place in the table. In the end, however, it was not enough to keep up and Kogler suffered his second descent in his still young career. Thereupon Zalaergeszeg signaled that he wanted to sign Kogler, but this failed due to his call-up to the Austrian Armed Forces .

Without a club again, he signed a contract in July 2009 with the Austrian regional league team FC Waidhofen / Ybbs, trained by Ivica Vastić .

In the summer of 2010 he moved to the top Austrian division and signed with LASK Linz .
