The BFC Siófok short BFC Siófok is a football club based in Siófok , a small town in Hungary on the south shore of Lake Balaton (German Balaton ).
history
The club was founded in 1921 as Siófok SE (SE = Sportegyesület , "sports club"). The name Bodajk comes from a merger (probably takeover by) with Bodajk FC in 2005. The club colors are yellow and blue. The BFC Siófok plays its home games in the Géza Révész Stadium , which is named after the psychologist Géza Révész and has a capacity of 10,500 spectators.
In the Hungarian Cup final of 1984, the BFC Siófok defeated the team of Rába Vasas ETO Győr, today's Győri ETO FC with 2-1 and thus won their only major title to date.
After the club played in the first Hungarian football league, the Nemzeti Bajnokság I , in 1985–1994, 1996–2000 and 2002–2004 , he rose again to the NB I after the 2006/07 season. This promotion came about, however, because the competitor Haladás Szombathely 8 points were deducted because of the use of players without playing authorization.
