Daniel Kulla
Daniel Kulla (* 1977 in Blankenburg im Harz ) is a German writer and journalist . He was briefly editor-in-chief of the Saxon youth magazine SPIESSER and published books on intoxication and conspiracy ideologies .
Life
Kulla grew up in Thale and did community service .
Activity as a writer
Kulla brought together other authors for literary remix projects , which he initially self-published (under the name Systemausfall '90 Verlag ) until he became an editor and author at Werner Pieper in 2001 . Kulla wrote the biographical presentation of Der Phrasenprüfer about the co-founder of the Chaos Computer Club Wau Holland . In his book Entspurstheorie , published in 2007, Kulla deals with the history and dangers of ideological conspiracy thinking (see conspiracyism ), which he distinguishes from “playful” conspiracy theories with open questions. For Kulla, the “conspiracy ideology [...] comes from the middle of society. It ties in with the nationalism, racism and anti-Semitism of the majority society - and only intensifies them. "
In 2000, Kulla was editor-in-chief of the Saxon youth magazine SPIESSER . He writes irregularly for the weekly newspaper Jungle World , wrote a book about the Berlin electro- punk band Egotronic together with their singer Torsun and gives lectures and readings on the subjects of "The Theory of Debtor", " The Coming Uprising ", "Sin Patrones Ni Jefes - Occupations in Argentina" , "Lust, intoxication & doubt - fundamental questions in the intimate area", among others
In the book “Leben im Rausch”, published in 2012, Kulla developed an intoxication term that describes intoxication as the ability of all nervous systems to exploit its own “intoxication”: “If its standard program is no longer sufficient, it switches on further levels of perception and meaning and memories and tries them to combine anew, similar to the dream, in which the brain associatively combines experiences with old experiences and the imaginary. "Intoxication is considered to be a specific function of the nervous system, which is neither one-sided in the direction of evoking substances, nor a transition to spiritual ones or magical opposing worlds. ”According to Kulla, when intoxicated,“ the order of the signal transmission in the nervous system gets mixed up. Signals from different times, from a few seconds ago or from childhood, arrive at the same time. If this happens under favorable conditions, then we perceive several moments at the same moment and can then more easily recognize developments, processes or changes. "
He goes on to deal with the “connection between the logic of capitalist exploitation and intoxication itself, its social functions, the dangers and benefits” and judges: “Intoxication is neither good nor bad, and it is nothing external to humans. With intoxication, rule can be promoted as well as shaken. (...) In order for intoxication to empower, we (...) have to practice, practice, practice, to quote Wolfgang Neuss . "Kulla therefore demands" to acquire new places, to take something for intoxication and revolt. "
Others
Kulla recorded the songs Der Tausch (2007) and Krümel (2014) together with Egotronic and their singer Torsun and is sometimes a guest singer at their concerts. In 2011 he played the song Alles Muss Raus together with Björn Peng . With the Hamburg breakcore arranger Istari Lasterfahrer the albums No, No, That Is Not Communism (2008), We Still Had Something Before (2010) and Auf- & Conditions (2012) were created under the stage name classless Kulla .
After working in Dresden and Berlin , he now lives in Thale again.
