Daniel Nicklasson (born April 23, 1981 ) is a Swedish football player . The midfielder played several times as a young national player for Swedish junior teams.

Career

Nicklasson played for IFK Hässleholm in his youth until he joined the youth of IFK Göteborg . Under coach Reine Almqvist he made his debut as a young player in the Allsvenskan . In the summer of 2000, the young national player moved to the youth department of the Danish club Aalborg BK . After he was not used there due to an injury, he returned to Sweden in 2001 and joined his former youth club IFK Hässleholm in the fourth division. At the end of the season, they were promoted to third-class Division 2 Södra Götaland .

In 2003 Nicklasson moved to the second division relegated Mjällby AIF , with whom he managed to return to the Superettan at the end of the 2004 season . Shortly after the end of the season, however, he left the club and moved to the second division GAIS , where he signed a two-year contract. At the Gothenburg club he immediately established himself as a regular player and contributed with five goals this season in the second division season 2005 to the club's promotion to the Allsvenskan. After losing his regular place in the first year, he was back in the starting line-up for 18 of his 19 league appearances in the 2007 season - in particular, two relays prevented more playing time. In the 2009 season he played nine games under the new coach Alexander Axén until the summer, only two of them from the start. He then returned on loan to the second division club Mjällby AIF.

Nicklasson established himself as a regular at Mjällby AIF. In 15 league games he helped the club in the second division season 2009 as a second division champion to promotion to the Allsvenskan. At the end of the year he moved permanently to the club from the Swedish province of Blekinge län , where he signed a three-year contract.
