Daniel Pyka

Daniel "Danny" Pyka (born May 17, 1984 in Berlin ) is a former German ice hockey player who was active for many years in the DEL2 and 2nd Bundesliga for the ice pirates Crimmitschau , Lausitzer Füchse , Hanover Indians and REV Bremerhaven .

Career

Danny Pyka began his career with the Eisbären Berlin youth team , where he played with the Eisbären Juniors Berlin in the German Youth League. In the 2002/03 season, the defender was in the squad of the professional team for the first time and completed 30 DEL games in which he was able to achieve three points scorer. During the 2003/04 season , the left-handed shooter joined the SERC Wild Wings , with whom he was henceforth active in the 2nd Bundesliga . Pyka was used in 48 games for the Wild Wings and scored four points. The Berliner then signed a contract with the Hannover Scorpions from the German Ice Hockey League , from which he was given a sponsorship license and until 2009 was mainly used with the cooperation partner REV Bremerhaven in the 2nd Bundesliga .

In April 2009 he was signed by the Dresdner Eislöwen and met his brother Nico there . After the 2009/10 season he left the Eislöwen and joined the Hanover Indians with Björn Bombis and Alexej Dmitriev .

Between 2015 and 2018 Pyka played for the Eispiraten Crimmitschau before he had to end his career in April 2018 due to several injuries.

In 2002 Danny Pyka took part in the U18 World Cup in Slovakia with the junior national team.
