Daniel Ripic (born March 14, 1996 in Spittal an der Drau ) is an Austrian-Croatian soccer player . He has been under contract with VfB Stuttgart II since the 2015/16 season .
Career
society
Ripic was registered with the youngsters of SV Malta in September 2002. In August 2007 he switched to the youth team at SV Seeboden, where he then attended the FC Red Bull Salzburg academy .
The striker not only made his debut for the Austrian U-17 national team in a 2-1 away win on August 14, 2013, but also scored the 1-0 goal in this game. This was followed by further team assignments on September 5 and 7, 2013 against Uzbekistan (1: 1 and 3: 0) and on October 12, 2013 against Ivory Coast (0: 1) before joining the Austrian squad for the U-17s World Cup in the United Arab Emirates . There he was used in all three games against Canada (2: 2), Argentina (2: 3) and Iran (0: 1), but scored no goals.
On January 20, 2014, Ripic was taken over by FC Liefering, the cooperation club of FC Red Bull Salzburg.
For the 2015/16 season he moved to the second team at VfB Stuttgart . Ripic scored his first two goals in the 3rd division for VfB II on August 15, 2015 in a 3-1 away win against SG Sonnenhof Großaspach .
On July 24, 2017, he terminated his contract with VfB Stuttgart II.
National team
Ripic made his debut for the U-17 national team of Austria in 2012 . With this selection he took part in the U-17 European Championship in 2013 and the U-17 World Championship in 2013 . On March 5, 2014 Ripic scored two goals in the 3-2 away win of the Austrian U-18 national team in Slovenia. He played for Austria's U-19 national team at the 2015 U-19 European Championship .
