Per Daniel Tynell (born January 6, 1976 in Grycksbo , Dalarna County ) is a Swedish cross-country skier .

Career

Tyrnell, who competes for the Grycksbo IF , has been taking part in cross-country skiing races in the Worldloppet series since 1998 . In 2001 he took third place in the Wasalauf . The following year he won the Wasalauf for the first time. In the same month he started in the World Cup for the first time and finished 16th in the relay. In the 2005/06 season he won the Wasalauf again and reached second place in the Birkebeinerrennet . In 2007 and 2008 he won the König-Ludwig-Lauf . In February 2007 he came third in the Tartu Maraton . In 2009 he won the Wasalauf for the third time and came third at the Marcialonga . In the 2009/10 season he took second place at the Engadin Skimarathon and the Wasalauf. In 2012 and 2013 he came second in the Wasalauf. In February 2013 he won the Engelbrektsloppet classic over 60 km. The following year he won the Wasalauf over the 30 km short distance in the classic technique and he achieved second place in the König-Ludwig-Lauf. His best overall placement to date in the FIS Cross-Country Skiing Marathon Cup was fourth in the 2008/09 season .
