Daniel Zacher (born November 4, 1988 in Dresden ) is a former German soccer goalkeeper .

Career

Daniel Zacher played at Dynamo Dresden in his hometown when he was young . At the age of 16 he was designated as a substitute goalkeeper for the first team and remained so until his first year in the senior division. But he only played in the second team in the national league. In 2008 SV Babelsberg 03 looked for two new goalkeepers after they missed qualification for the newly established 3rd division . They signed Zacher and Marian Unger, five years older, from Magdeburg. His head start in experience meant that the young man from Dresden had to sit on the bench as "Number 1 B" in the first two years and was only used three times as a substitute.

In 2010, the film townspeople rose to professional football and they also started the 2010/11 third division with a third goalkeeper. During the season Unger came under fire. Zacher was already counting on his chance, but was not used again. He then publicly criticized, whereupon he had to pick up a kick-off from the coach. Disappointed, he called in sick and finally canceled his contract three months before it expired.

At the end of the season, however, there was a discussion and after a repentant apology Zacher got another chance and a new contract for the 2011/12 season. In fact, Marian Unger could not convince in the new season either and the club threatened to get stuck in the table cellar, so the Dresdner was allowed to prove himself this time and he took over the position of number one from the ninth game day.

Daniel Zacher learned the trade of foreign trade before he decided to become a professional footballer.
