Vittorio Luigi Mondello
Vittorio Luigi Mondello (born October 21, 1937 in Messina ) is an Italian clergyman and retired Archbishop of Reggio Calabria-Bova .
Life
Vittorio Luigi Mondello was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Messina on June 21, 1960 .
Pope Paul VI appointed him on February 10, 1977 auxiliary bishop in Messina and titular bishop of Carcabia . The Archbishop of Palermo , Salvatore Cardinal Pappalardo , donated him episcopal ordination on January 21 of the next year ; Co- consecrators were Francesco Fasola , old archbishop of Messina , and Ignazio Cannavò , archbishop of Messina, bishop of Lipari and prelate of Santa Lucia del Mela . As a motto he chose Euntes ergo .
Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Caltagirone on July 30, 1983 . On July 28, 1990 he was appointed Archbishop of Reggio Calabria - Bova .
On July 13, 2013, Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation.
