Daniela Potapova (born January 17, 1996 in Berlin ) is a former German rhythmic gymnast .

career

Potapova started in the singles for TSV Spandau . In 2010 she took part in the German Youth Championships for the first time and was 15th in the all-around for the 14-year-olds. The following year she was able to improve to seventh place in the all-around competition and achieve the bronze medal in the final with the ball. In 2012 Potapova started with the seniors for the first time and finished eleventh at the German championships.

In October 2012 Daniela Potapova moved to the federal base in Fellbach and thus became a member of the national team group . At the 2013 World Championships in Kiev she reached ninth place in the all-around and seventh place in the club final with the newly formed German group, which also included Judith Hauser , Anastasia Kempf , Anastasija Khmelnytska , Sara Radman and Rana Tokmak . At the 2014 European Championships in Baku , the group with Hauser, Khmelnytska, Nicole Müller , Potapova and Tokmak finished eleventh in the all-around competition and eighth in the final with ten clubs. In the same year Daniela started with Julia Stavickaja , Darja Sajfutdinova , Judith Hauser, Rana Tokmak and Anastasija Khmelnytska at the World Championships in Izmir. They were also ninth in the all-around competition and seventh in the club final. In 2015 the German national team took part in the European Games . They finished 8th in the all-around competition and fourth place with five ribbons. In 2015, the group missed direct Olympic qualification at the World Championships . The group was then able to secure this at the test event in Rio de Janeiro in early 2016. At the 2016 Olympic Games , Potapova came 10th with the group. After the Olympic Games, she ended her sporting career.
