Daniele Battaglia (born July 21, 1981 in Bologna ) is an Italian pop singer and radio and television presenter .

Career

Battaglia is the son of the Pooh guitarist Dodi Battaglia . He started working with his father as a sound engineer and songwriter at an early age. In 2002 he finally got into the radio, from 2005 he worked for Radio Italia and was able to reach a large audience for the first time. He moderated both radio and television programs. Battaglia made his debut as a singer in 2007 with the song Vorrei dirti che è facile , co-written by his father , a duet with the young singer Brenda Cardullo . Originally intended for the newcomer category of the Sanremo Festival , where it was not shortlisted, it topped the chart after publication to reach.

In the summer of 2007 Battaglia released his second single Fresco , which was followed by Tutte ma nessuna and finally the debut album Tutto il mare che vorrei . His father played a key role in the production of the album. At the Sanremo Festival 2008 Battaglia made it into the newcomer category with the song Voce nel vento , but did not make it to the final. In 2009 his second, self-titled album was released; he also continued his work as a presenter at Radio 105 . The following year he took part in the reality show L'isola dei famosi (Italian version of Survivor ) and emerged as the winner. A number of participations in television programs followed, such as Sfilata d'amore e moda ( Rete 4 ), Speciale X Factor ( Rai Gulp ) or Quelli che il calcio ( Rai 2 ). In 2011 he also took on a moderation role at L'isola dei famosi .
