Daniele Conte (born May 8, 1972 ) is a former Italian biathlete .

Daniele Conte won the silver medal in the individual at the first archery biathlon world championships in Cogne in 1998 , behind his compatriot Alberto Peracino . In 1999 he was able to repeat this placement behind Emmanuel Jeannerod in Bassans and won the relay race with Peracino and Fabrizio Salvadori . In 2001 , the Italian finished sixth in the mass start race in Kubalonka and won the silver medal in the relay race behind the Russian representation with Alessandro Morassi , Salvadori and Peracino. Conte's most successful season followed. In the World Cup he was third in the individual ranking behind Igor Samoilow and Andrei Markow , and he achieved the same position behind both at the World Championships of the year in Ruhpolding . There he also won bronze behind Markow and Mikhail Voronin in the pursuit race and was tenth in the mass start. In 2003 Conte won bronze in the pursuit race in Krün behind Markow and Igor Borissow . At the second and last European Championships in 2001 in Pokljuka , he won the bronze medal with Morassi, Danilo Antonipieri and Peracino.
