Daniele Meocci (born August 29, 1964 in Bern ) is a German-speaking Swiss writer who lives in the vicinity of Bern.

Life

Daniele Meocci was born in Bern to an Italian father and a Swiss mother. After completing the teachers' seminar , he worked, among other things, as a ferryman on the Aare , where he began his paperwork. The first stories were published as comics in comic magazines (including Strapazin ). A literary prize for a short story (“Auf und vom”, Cosmos-Verlag , 1996) followed. In 1998 Meocci was accepted at the German Literature Institute in Leipzig , where he completed a year of study.

Several years followed, during which Daniele Meocci concentrated primarily on his work as a teacher. But then it happened in 2013 during gym class that a little monster moved into the locker room. The children always wanted to know more about it. This later resulted in Meocci's first children's book “Ksss!”.

Today Daniele Meocci works as a children's book author and two days as a DaZ teacher. His work has already received several awards. He is often on the road book in terms of school or library readings and lively for public appearances: Solothurn Literature Days , reads Zurich , BuchBasel , Burgdorf crime days , Fumetto Lucerne.
