Daniele Pettinari

Daniele Pettinari (* 1943 in Rome ) is an Italian photographer , film director and screenwriter .

Life

Pettinari worked as a fashion photographer for magazines such as Vogue , Look and Cosmopolitan in London and the Middle East. He then went to New York City , where he switched to film and acted as assistant director for Brian Brake and Ernest Mass . In his home country he made two short films, worked with Mauro Bolognini and Luchino Visconti and was the director of photography for two of Pasquale Squitieri's films . In 1974 he made his debut with the elaborate Cagliostro , for which he was able to win a star cast. Four years later, the hardly noticed La borgata dei sogni was to follow. With his "Roaring Production Film", Pettinari made some film financing possible; he worked for the RAI and wrote a screenplay for Giancarlo Nanni in 1995, as well as a few other works. In 2003 he finally presented a play, Concerto per pianoforte e Mozart .

Pettinaro teaches at the “Atteneo del Cinema e Televisione” and is married to the actress Enrica Bonaccorti .
