Daniele Amadeo "Danny" Tiatto (born May 22, 1973 in Werribee ) is an Australian football player who also has an Italian passport and is active in Queensland Roar in Australia. Until 2005 he was a player on the Australian national soccer team .

Career

As a teenager, Tiatto played with the Bulleen Lions of Melbourne . He then moved to the Melbourne Knights and played there for two years, where he was able to win two Australian championships with his team. In 1996 he signed a contract with Italian club Salernitana Sport from the series B . In 1997 he moved to Switzerland for FC Baden and was loaned to Stoke City in England in 1998. Tiatto experienced his best time at Manchester City , where he played for five years and completed 139 games. From 2003 to 2007 he was under contract with Leicester City before moving back to Australia for Queensland Roar in the summer of 2007. In 2008 he was voted the club's best player.

Tiatto played 23 times for the Australian national soccer team and won the OFC Nations Cup in 1996 and 2000 . He also represented his country at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta .
