Dante Basco (born August 29, 1975 in Pittsburg , California ) is a Filipino-American actor , dancer and rapper.

biography

Dante Basco is the brother of Darion Basco , Derek Basco , Dion Basco and Ariana Basko . In previous years he was a member of the Streat Freaks Breakdance Crew. He started out as an actor in small television roles until he later played the leader of the lost boys in Steven Spielberg's film Hook (1991) with Robin Williams and Dustin Hoffman in the role of Rufio . The punk band Rufio is named after this character.

Basco had one-time guest roles on the television shows The Prince of Bel-Air , Really great, Mr. Cooper , X-Factor: The Incredible and multiple times in Moesha . He played characters from various Asian ethnic groups, but never a Filipino.
