Dapayk
Dapayk is the stage name of the German musician , label operator and techno producers Niklas Worgt (* 8 February 1978 in Bad Frankenhausen , Kreis Artern , County Hall , East Germany ). In Germany he is one of the protagonists of minimal techno .
biography
Born in Thuringia , Dapayk first came into contact with broken beats and drum and bass in the early 1990s . His first appearances were under the drum and bass live act "Frauds in White" and mark the beginning of his career in electronic music. With “Frauds in White” and his other alter ego at the time, “Otherwise”, Dapayk established himself as a well-known resident in Central Germany .
After the first releases, Dapayk founded his label "Mo's Ferry Productions" in 2000, which is dedicated to releases of minimalist techno. In 2005 the sub-label "Fenou", and in 2006 "Rrygular" were added. In 2019 the platform "Sonderling Records" was founded with the label "Sonderling Berlin".
He developed his current status in minimal techno with performances as a live act, remixer and various collaborations. Under the project Dapayk & Padberg, together with his wife, the photo model Eva Padberg , the third album after “ Close Up ” and “ Black Beauty ” was released in February 2010 .
In addition to his own labels, Dapayk publishes on Katermukke, Stil vor Talent, Herzblut, Karloff, Textone, Orac, Contexterrior, Trapez, “Resopal Schallware” and “Friends of Tomorrow”. Dapayk also published various solo works under other pseudonyms, including as "Marek Bois" on Trapez and Rrygular.
Dapayk continues to work as a studio producer for artists such as Monika Kruse , Marcel Knopf & Kleinschmager Audio.
Private life
On July 29, 2006, Niklas Wendet married the photo model Eva Padberg after a ten-year partnership . You live in Berlin .

Sound
Dapayk himself describes his sound as "Frickel". In terms of sound technology, he experimentally lets individual musical art forms of minimal, "electronica" and breakbeats flow into one another in a demanding manner. In 2018 Niklas Wört released a single with the musician "VARS". Since 2019 they have been working on a joint album.

In 2005 Dapayk & Padberg's first album “Close Up” reached the top 10 in the charts of the Groove and de: Bug magazines . In 2007 he received the StyleAward in the category "Performer - Domestic" from the Musikexpress for the Dapayk & Padberg project .
