Daria Onyśko-Korczyńska (born Onyśko ; born July 30, 1981 in Kołobrzeg ) is a former Polish sprinter .

Athletic career

As a member of the Polish 4 x 100 meter relay , Korczyńska finished seventh at the European Athletics Championships in 2002 in Munich. At the European Athletics U23 Championships in 2003 in Bydgoszcz, she won the silver medal in the 100-meter run . With the relay she was eighth at the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki in 2005 .

At the European Athletics Championships in Gothenburg in 2006 Korczyńska reached eighth place in the 100-meter run, while she could not qualify for the final with the relay. In the 60-meter run of the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Birmingham in 2007 , she won the bronze medal with a personal best of 7.20 seconds. At the World Championships in Osaka in the same year, she was eliminated over 100 meters in the quarter-finals. For this she won the military world games in Hyderabad in the 200-meter run and came third in the 100-meter run.

At the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008 Korczyńska reached the quarter-finals in the 100-meter run. In addition, she was with the season in the finals, which was disqualified there due to an alternating error. In contrast, the Polish team was more successful at the 2010 European Athletics Championships in Barcelona. In the line-up of Marika Popowicz , Daria Korczynska, Marta Jeschke and Weronika Wedler , she secured the bronze medal behind the relays from Ukraine and France. At the European Athletics Championships in Helsinki in 2012 , the Polish relay team won bronze again behind the teams from Germany and the Netherlands, this time with Ewelina Ptak instead of Weronika Wedler as the final runner.

After participating in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, she ended her active career as an athlete.
