Darius Danusevičius

Darius Danusevičius (born March 13, 1968 in Jonava ) is a Lithuanian forest scientist , professor and forest geneticist .

Life

Danusevičius lived with his family in the Jonava Forestry Settlement until 1971 , when his father was the Jonava Forestry Director. In 1993 Darius graduated from the Forestry Faculty of Lietuvos žemės ūkio akademija and in 1999 received his Doctor of Forestry (PhD) from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences . From 1999 to 2010 he worked at the Forestry Institute of Lithuania in Girionys . From 2008 to 2010 Danusevičius was deputy director of this research institute. From 2001 he taught at the Lietuvos žemės ūkio universitetas , from 2006 as a lecturer . Since 2010 Danusevičius has been a professor at the Institute of Forest Biology and Forest Science of the Faculty of Forests and Ecology at the Aleksandras Stulginskis University .

He has been a member of the Lietuvos mokslų akademija since 2014 .

His father is Julius Danusevičius (* 1931), also a forest geneticist .

Darius Danusevičius is married to Lina Danusevičienė.
