Dariusz Niemirowicz
Dariusz Niemirowicz [ darjuʃ ɲɛmiˈrɔvitʃ ] (* 1952 in Warsaw , Poland ) is a Polish concert and opera singer ( bass ) and singing teacher .
Life
education
After graduating from high school in Warsaw ( Poland ) in 1971 , Dariusz Niemirowicz began his vocal training at the Middle Music School in Warsaw with Professor Zofia Bregy. From 1973 to 1978 he studied singing at the State University of Music (today Fryderyk Chopin University of Music ) in Warsaw with Professor Alina Bolechowska. He currently works as a freelance soloist and teacher, teaching at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw.
Opera
Dariusz Niemirowicz gained his first stage experience at the Warsaw Chamber Opera and at the Teatr Wielki in Warsaw. After several guest appearances, he got an engagement at the Landestheater Coburg in 1981 . This was followed by permanent engagements at the theater of the city of Heidelberg and in Gelsenkirchen, as well as many guest appearances throughout Germany. In 1990 he worked at the Volksoper and State Opera in Vienna . 1997 returned to a German stage and celebrated successes at the Stadttheater Freiburg .
As a freelance artist, he also performs in his native Poland. His repertoire includes buffo roles such as the title role in Don Pasquale or Don Magnifico in La Cenerentola and Dulcamara as well as serious roles such as Sarastro in the Magic Flute , Mephisto in Faust , Zaccharia, Rocco, Philipp II and others. v. a. His operatic repertoire includes over a hundred roles, including a few dozen leading roles.

Dariusz Niemirowicz has also appeared on concert stages all over the world. His special love and devotion are oratorios (e.g. Elias , Paulus , Die Schichtung ). His concert repertoire includes works by Bach, Beethoven, Bruckner, Dvorak, Handel, Haydn, Mendelssohn Bartholdy, Mozart, Puccini, Reinthaler, Rossini, Schubert, Schütz, Verdi and others. a.
Vocal pedagogy
In 1990 Dariusz Niemirowicz began working as a singing teacher. Since 2006 he has been teaching singing at the Fryderyk Chopin High School Music School and at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw.
Prizes and awards
- Dariusz Niemirowicz won various national music competitions in Poland in 1976 and 1977.
- In 1977 he was awarded 2nd prize at the Geneva International Music Competition .
- In 1978 he received the "Stichting Buma-Fonds" prize at the international music competition in 's-Hertogenbosch .
- In 1980 he won 2nd prize at the International ARD Competition in Munich .
