Darja Alexandrovna Schukova ( Russian Да́рья Алекса́ндровна Жу́кова ; diminutive Dasha, Russian Даша ; English Darya (Dasha) Zhukova ; born June 8, 1981 in Moscow ) is a Russian art patron , fashion designer and media entrepreneur .

Dasha Schukowa was born the daughter of an oil trader and a molecular biologist . She first studied medicine at a university in California , then homeopathy at the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London . In 2009 she became editor-in-chief of the magazine "Pop", but left the editorial team after three issues. In 2011 she founded Garage Magazine. In 2008 she opened the largest private art museum Garage ( Garage Museum of Contemporary Art ) in Moscow. She founded the luxury label Kova & T with girlfriend Christina. Together with Wendi Murdoch , she hosted Art Basel Miami Beach 2012.

Private life

Dasha Schukowa lived with her partner Roman Abramowitsch and their two children in Moscow. Their first child was born on December 5, 2009 in Los Angeles . Their second child was born on April 15, 2013 in New York . In August 2017, the couple announced their separation. In October 2019, she married the heir of the shipping company, Stavros Niarchos, in the closest family circle, followed by the renewal of the marriage in St. Moritz in January 2020 .
